Biography

Dr Conway is a full time psychology professor at CCAC's South Campus. She is also a licensed psychotherapist. She teaches a variety of courses including, Introduction to Psychology, Child Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Abnormal Psychology, Health Psychology, the Psychology of Death and Dying, and Stress Management. She also regularly teaches courses in the CCAC Honors Program.

In addition, Dr. Conway is the co-advisor to Psi Beta, the National Psychology Honor Society for 2-year colleges.

 

Dr Conway is a member of the American Psychological Association, the National Association of School Psychologists, and the National Association of Social Workers.

She has been the recipient of the NISOD Award for Excellence in Teaching, the League of Innovation Award, the Sabbatical of the Year Award for the creation of the college's Stress Management course, and has been selected as the faculty commencement speaker.

Dr Conway has presented at many professional conferences, including twice at the International Conference on the Teaching of Psychology in Vancouver, BC.

I have had the privilege of traveling to India several times with the CCAC Honors Program, and seeing this experience through the eyes of the students.

I love teaching psychology, and helping students apply information to their own lives, so that it is meaningful.

I am a practicing psychotherapist, and also a meditation instructor.
