Biography
Matthew Kisow, an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity, joined the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) in January 2022. With a wealth of expertise in cybersecurity, networking, and operating system administration, Professor Kisow is dedicated to preparing the next generation of professionals to tackle the evolving challenges of the digital age.
In his role at CCAC, Professor Kisow teaches a broad range of courses, focusing on theoretical and practical aspects of cybersecurity. His courses cover critical areas such as network security, threat detection and mitigation, system hardening, incident response, and the ethical implications of cybersecurity practices. His teaching methodology integrates lectures, hands-on labs, and multimedia resources, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Through this comprehensive approach, he emphasizes the application of cutting-edge technologies, processes, and controls to safeguard systems, networks, programs, devices, and data from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
