CCAC Makes Headline News as Biden Administration Officials Visit the Center for Education Innovation & Training

Top U.S. officials visited CCAC on Jan. 30 to tout Pittsburgh's workforce development initiatives and CCAC's commitment to preparing students for jobs in high-demand, emerging fields. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su toured the new Center for Education, Innovation & Training and visited students during class.

Mr. Cardona and Ms. Su were joined by Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato, Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey, CCAC President Quintin Bullock and Pittsburgh Public Schools Superintendent Wayne Walters.

Following the tour, Mr. Cardona and Ms. Su led a discussion about the region's workforce needs with union workers and other local leaders including Pittsburgh Public Schools Director Gene Walker.
