CCAC Hosts Nurse Pinning Ceremony At Acrisure Stadium

The Community College of Allegheny County celebrated the graduation of 112 Nursing students during the Nursing Pinning ceremony, which took place at Acrisure Stadium on Thursday, May 18. Family members, friends, faculty and staff gathered to recognize 112 Nursing students who were 'pinned" during the event. The ceremony also included the Florence Nightingale pledge and "Passing of the Lamp."

CCAC's Nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing as well as the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. In 2023, NursingProcess.org ranked CCAC #3 out of 147 Associate Degree in Nursing schools in Pennsylvania and #6 out of 536 in the Northeast Region.

The ceremony included remarks by Kathy Mayle, assistant vice-president and dean of Nursing, Allied Health, and Sciences.
