The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) will host in-person open house events this month featuring Multimedia/Gaming & Simulation programming at North Campus on Nov. 14 and Aviation & Drone programs at South Campus on Nov. 16.

The Multimedia/Gaming & Simulation programming event will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at North Campus (8701 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, Room 1003) on Tuesday, Nov. 14. The college welcomes prospective students, their families and friends to visit the campus to learn about CCAC programs including the Multimedia Programming, Simulation & Gaming degree program as well as the Multimedia Game Design and Multimedia Web Programming certificate programs. These programs provide students with job-ready skills and knowledge leading to careers as independent game developers, computer programmers, game designers, game testers, story designers and art designers. Apprenticeships may be available for those who qualify. Demonstrations on state-of-the art equipment and hands-on activities are planned as part of the event.

The Aviation & Drone event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at CCAC South Campus (1750 Clairton Rd (Route 885), West Mifflin, PA 15122, B Building, Room 520) on Thursday, Nov. 16. Prospective students, their families and friends are invited to visit the campus to learn more about CCAC programs, in-demand aviation careers as well as the courses, degrees and certificates available through CCAC's Aviation program. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in demonstrations using flight simulators—advanced aviation training devices that are so authentic it's like flying an actual airplane. CCAC's highly trained, experienced instructors, who are current or former airline pilots, will be on hand to answer questions and conduct the demonstrations.

Both events will feature refreshments, door prizes and giveaways.
