CCAC President Appointed to Serve on PASSHE Board of Governors
Dr. Quintin Bullock, CCAC president, has been appointed as a member of the PA State System of Higher Education’s (PASSHE) Board of Governors. The nomination was approved by the Pennsylvania Senate earlier this month. Appointed by Governor Josh Shapiro, the 20-member board establishes broad educational, fiscal and personnel policies and oversees the efficient management of the State System.
"I am looking forward to serving on the PASSHE Board of Governors to further advance our public education mission to provide affordable access to higher education. As a community college president, this appointment is important because it will help foster a stronger connection between Pennsylvania's community colleges and the PASSHE institutions to help forward our shared objectives," said Dr. Bullock.
PASSHE is the state-owned, multi-campus public university system that provides the most affordable four-year universities in the commonwealth. PASSHE universities offer undergraduate and graduate degrees, professional certificates, and other workforce development programs in coordination with the private sector to prepare students for good careers. Most graduates earn degrees in high-demand professions that Pennsylvanians rely on, including health care, science and technology, business, and education.
