CCAC Reserve Office Training Corps (ROTC) Participation
CCAC students can participate in Air Force ROTC through a cross-town agreement with the University of Pittsburgh. Participants enroll full-time at CCAC while taking weekly ROTC classes and training at Pitt. This program provides leadership training, military skills, and potential scholarship opportunities to prepare for a commission as an Air Force or Space Force Officer. After completing their program at CCAC students may be eligible to continue at the University of Pittsburgh to earn an ROTC Scholarship and commission as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.

Students enrolled in ROTC have access to CCAC's Military and Veterans Office and Lounges at each of our campuses.

The ROTC program is both voluntary and selective. You can apply before starting college or after you begin classes, depending on the scholarship path that fits you.
Navy and Army ROTC Programs are also accessible through PCHE Cross Registration with a local host university.
Who Can Apply?
Requirements vary slightly by Service branch, but generally, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be at least 17 years old
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Meet academic standards (typically at least a 2.50 GPA in high school)
- Submit ACT or SAT scores (requirements vary by school and branch)
- Meet medical and physical fitness standards
