CCAC Student Featured In Afghanistan’s All-Girls’ Robotics Team Film Presentation

Nahid Khajazada, a CCAC student who is a member of Afghanistan’s first all-girls’ robotics team, will be a guest speaker at a public screening of a film featuring the team’s amazing story.
CCAC in partnership with the Pittsburgh Robotics Network, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Pittsburgh, will host a public screening of Rule Breakers at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater on Marc 19 2025 from 6:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Nahid came to Pittsburgh to study mechatronics, choosing CCAC’s groundbreaking program to launch her higher education journey. This highly anticipated feature film tells the inspiring true story of Afghanistan’s first all-girls robotics team, the Afghan Dreamers, and their fight to compete on the world stage despite extraordinary challenges. The event will highlight Pittsburgh’s thriving robotics ecosystem and celebrate local STEM students who are shaping the future of technology. Tickets will be available to the public on Eventbrite.
