Community Events Planned at CCAC Campuses and Centers to Celebrate the Fall Season

Fall Festivals and Trunk or Treat events at CCAC
CCAC will host several community events in October and November.
CCAC Boyce Campus (595 Beatty Road, Monroeville)—Thursday, Oct. 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: An evening of food, fun and trick or treating is planned during this annual “Trunk or Treat” community event. Attendees are invited to wear costumes.
CCAC Allegheny Campus—Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: A Community Resource Fair, in partnership with United Way, is scheduled in the CCAC Allegheny Campus Physical Education Building gymnasium (845 Ridge Ave., Pittsburgh). In line with the event’s theme of “Thrive and Fulfill Your Dreams,” agencies and organizations from across Allegheny County are set to visit the CCAC campus to offer access to resources to help members of the community succeed in college and life. The fair will highlight community resources available for food, child care, housing, education, transportation and more.
CCAC Homewood-Brushton Center (701 N. Homewood Ave., Pittsburgh)—Friday, Oct. 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: A “Trunk or Treat” community event is planned, featuring local community organizations, a Halloween costume contest, trunk decorating contest, prizes, activities, food and more. Children’s snack boxes from Amalas food truck will also be provided.
CCAC South Campus (1750 Clairton Road, West Mifflin)—Wednesday October 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: A Community Resource Fall Fest will feature fun activities, including trick or treating, story time and more. Costumes are welcome, and complimentary light refreshments will be available. Several organizations will also be on hand to provide attendees with information on various community resources.
CCAC North Campus (8701 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh)—Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: A Fall Community Day is scheduled, and members of the community are invited to join local community organizations, friends and neighbors for crafts, live music, food, games and more. Complimentary light refreshments will also be available.
