CCAC to Host Feb. 19 Panel Discussion on “The Politics of Black Hair”
As part of the college's Black History Month events schedule, CCAC will host a panel discussion, "The Politics of Black Hair," a topic about the history, culture and care of Black hair on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Forester Student Services Center auditorium on Allegheny Campus (808 Ridge Ave.). The presentation will also be available through a webinar.
Moderated by Sabrina Saunders Mosby, TedX speaker and President & CEO of Vibrant Pittsburgh, the panel includes experts Tyesha Gantt-Scott, Loc n' Loaded Salons owner; Tenel Dorsey, Dreamz Salon owner; Nate Mitchell, Natural Choice Salons owner; Anthony Jefferson, Mark Anthony's Salon owner & Framesi North America Design Team Member/Framesi International Team Member; and Sheila Brown, The Barber's Inn Salons owner and CCAC Barbering Program Coordinator.
