Most Memorable CCAC Experience

Each semester at CCAC has provided me with memorable experiences, but my favorite has been passing the baking and pastry passion on to a student who claimed to "HATE BAKING!"

 

Why I Teach What I Teach

I've worked as a pastry chef in our industry for most of my life. Pastry provided me with a long career as a pastry chef and remains a deep passion for me.

Teaching baking and pastry is very different from working in the industry. As an instructor, it is refreshing to share the knowledge I have, which isn't found in a textbook.

The science of baking is fascinating! New products and equipment are introduced, and techniques are always changing. These provide me with a challenge that I adore passing on to new bakers.

 

Something People Might Not Know About Me

I'm a huge advocate to keep our streets litter free! By example, I am passing this on to our grandkids.
