Dr. Ebony English Appointed as National Higher Education Committee Chair

Dr. Ebony English, CCAC Robert Richard Smith Endowed Professor for Teaching & Learning and Professor of Social Work, has been selected as the Chair-Elect for the EDUCAUSE Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee, with her term beginning this summer.

EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association committed to advancing the strategic use of technology and data to further the promise of higher education by empowering its members through insights, advocacy, resources and learning opportunities that strengthen professional practice.

The organization’s Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee provides guidance on strategic directions, events, publications and resources that support the teaching and learning community. Dr. English has been an active contributor to EDUCAUSE, serving as an expert panelist for the 2023 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report | Teaching and Learning Edition and the 2023 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report | Holistic Student Experience Edition. She has also participated in the Student Success Horizon Report, served on the ELI Annual Meeting Program Committee, and frequently serves as a conference reviewer and panelist, including in the webinar Exploring the 2023 Holistic Student Experience Horizon Report.

Her selection as Chair-Elect reflects her dedication to advancing teaching and learning in higher education.
